Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: Naqvi Reveals Agencies Had Advance Intel, Footage of Downed Indian Jets
Lahore – August 17, 2025
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has lauded Pakistan’s intelligence agencies for their pivotal role in the recent conflict with India, revealing that they had advance knowledge of New Delhi’s military plans and even obtained video footage of six Indian aircraft shot down by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
Speaking at a seminar hosted by the Professor Waris Mir Foundation at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Lahore, Naqvi said Pakistan’s agencies provided critical intelligence, enabling the military to counter India’s actions with precision.
Six Indian Aircraft Shot Down, Rafale Confirmed Lost
The confrontation, triggered by the Pahalgam attack, brought the two nuclear-armed neighbors to the brink of war. In the exchange, the PAF downed six Indian aircraft, including a French-made Rafale fighter jet. A senior French intelligence source later confirmed at least one Rafale loss, making it the aircraft’s first-ever combat downing.
Naqvi said Pakistan refrained from immediately announcing the number of Indian jets destroyed until field evidence was received. “Within minutes, we had video proof of all six planes,” he stated.
Divine Intervention and Pakistan’s Retaliation
The minister attributed part of the success to divine help, noting that India fired seven missiles at a major Pakistani base but none hit their target. “Some fell before reaching, others landed outside. Not a single missile struck the base,” he recounted.
When Pakistan retaliated, its missiles targeted an Indian oil storage facility, causing damage without civilian casualties. “This was purely Allah’s blessing,” Naqvi said.
Unified Command and Strong Leadership
Highlighting Pakistan’s strategic advantage, Naqvi praised Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the country’s military leadership for forging an unprecedented joint strategy among the Army, Air Force, and Navy.
He contrasted this with India’s fragmented command, claiming that New Delhi’s military chiefs operated independently during the crisis. Naqvi also recalled a remark by Field Marshal Munir to a Saudi delegation:
“India is like a shining Mercedes, but we are like a dumper truck full of stones. Imagine what happens when the two collide.”
Naming India’s “Masterminds”
Naqvi directly named Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Home Minister Amit Shah as the architects of the escalation. “These are the men responsible, and they will eventually drown India along with Modi,” he warned.
He further accused India of sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan, and using the conflict to suppress the voices of Kashmiris.
Political Unity Amid Crisis
The minister stressed that during the standoff, Pakistan’s political parties stood united, contrasting it with India’s divided leadership. “Our PPP Chairman outweighed their international lobbying,” he said.
Naqvi credited the Prime Minister and national leadership for resisting foreign pressure and responding firmly, ensuring Pakistan’s stance remained uncompromising.
The seminar also featured speeches by Senate Chairman Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani and Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, both of whom praised Pakistan’s resilience during the crisis.
